What is functional medicine?
Functional Medicine is an approach to providing science-based care that aims to discover the root causes of illness. By discovering the root cause, we can understand the pathophysiology of why the illness is occurring in the body and can therefore better address the issue at its core. This allows and fosters true healing to take place. Functional Medicine understands that health is complex, and people as individuals are complex. Therefore, there is no “one-size-fits-all” treatment. Each person requires an individualized approach to care in order to obtain and create optimal health.
